Public tools work without signing in. Personal tools require authentication. The live Server Card is the source of truth for registered tools and prompts.

Authentication

Public tools need no authentication. Personal tools use OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and the mcp scope. MCP clients can discover authorization using the API’s metadata:
