Think You're Getting NAD⁺? Our New Report Says... Maybe Not.

NAD⁺ has quickly become one of the most talked-about ingredients in the world of longevity and health optimization. Promoted by top researchers and functional medicine experts, it’s linked to energy metabolism, DNA repair, and cellular aging,  and supplement brands have taken notice. Today, there are dozens of NAD⁺-labeled products flooding the market, each promising to help you live, think, and feel better.

But do they actually deliver?

That’s what we set out to find in our latest SuppCo Tested investigation. We selected 10 of the most popular NAD⁺ products, all claiming to contain NAD⁺ itself (not precursors like NMN or NR), and sent them to an independent third-party lab for analysis.

We looked at three key quality factors:

  1. Actual NAD⁺ content vs. label claims

  2. Heavy metal contamination

  3. Correlation with SuppCo TrustScores

The results? Eye-opening.

  • Only 4 out of 10 products passed testing, delivering at least 95% of the NAD⁺ listed on their labels.

  • Several products contained less than 5% of their claimed NAD⁺, including one that had zero detectable NAD⁺.

  • Many of the failed products also listed massive serving sizes (1,000-1,500 mg), a pattern that may signal inflated or unrealistic label claims.

  • We’re happy to report that all products passed our heavy metals analysis, a major improvement over past concerns in the space.

  • One product confused even our own team with its labeling practices.

One key takeaway? Big numbers don’t always mean big results. And when it comes to NAD⁺, the products making the boldest promises often delivered the least.

This report is essential reading if you’re investing in NAD⁺ for longevity, energy, or cellular health. It breaks down the science, exposes misleading labels, and helps you identify what’s worth taking, and what to avoid.
